Haha I will eventually no matter what. It's just a matter of doing it now or waiting and doing it later with a sub and new speakers/tweeters all the way around.

I love using my cassette adapter to stream from my phone...I even found a retractable one so that I can have the cord out of the way when I'm not using it.

 

Haha I was thinking about that quote as I typed that, but then we wouldn't do lift, wheels, tires, and audio upgrades...

 

Yes, the cassette player adapter (for $10!) certainly solved the "Where do I plug in my phone? Don't you have any music?" problem.

 

Installed my CB today (cobra 75wxst). I tied it into the hot wire to the switch for the light bars on my topper. It works as long as I don't turn on the switch or it makes all kinds of noise. I'm going to re-wire it to my cigarette lighter when I finish running the coax to the back for my antenna. I got it to the back seat but ran out of light.

You should really secure it with something so it doesent bounce out or get yanked out.

I literally have mine zip tied and taped to my radio and it holds it in place just as good as anything else.

 

I still have my stock radio to but I was going through to many of those cassette audio plug things a year so I bought a USA Spec radio thingy... You should consider it, it's awesome and it's been running strong for at least 3 years now

 

I used sticky backed velcro. Works like a champ.

 

ive tried securing stuff with that before and it never holds well enough

 

Installed a set of 20" OEM rims & tires from a 4runner. Looks really good. Now I need to sell the original set of 18" tires and rims from this LTD model. Anybody interested?

 

Make sure to clean all mating surfaces with alcohol and allow 24 hours before putting any stress on the velcro after applying the sticky side. I use the industrial strength stuff from Lowe's. Holds fine, especially with the CB weighing as little as it does, and the CB is removable (with a little bit of finesse)

 

New tires and an EBay bought bumper assembly that was surprisingly nice!

 

You might try over in 2nd gen land......they like that sort of thing over there. This is the 1st gen section.

 

De-mudflapped

 

Changed oil and filter(Mobil 1 and Wix) greased drive shafts, topped radiator, cleaned battery terminals, and degreased cross member, oil pan, ect. Time to clean up!

 

Why go with high dollar oil and mid grade filter? I did the opposite last night...castrol and a bosch filter
