I've tried to order the dang D-Rings from 4 different companies and each one accepted the order at first, then said they could not fullfill because Toyota pulled them all from stock, but didn't say why. Was there a recall or what???
Anyone know who actually has the the OEM D-Rings that I could order without getting the circle-jerk-around?

Thanks but TRDParts4U.com says "Sorry, the Drings have been discontinued by Toyota. They have not let us know why, they were a great seller."

And the Army surplus rings are a good idea, but they dont come with mounting hardware, and it's just a pain in the ass to have to drill out the holes for the right mounting hardware and have to go to Home Depot to get the hardware. I'd rather just pay the 28 and be done with it. I only need two anyway.

Anyone else know where they might have a compatible D-ring with mounting hardware?

    Thanks

Again...you don't need the mounting hardware. Hell, send me $2 and I'll send you the mounting hardware that came with my OEM rings. I didn't use it because I installed them using my bed bolts. That is the better way anyway...why drill holes in your bed if they are already there?

I agree with Jeffrock...I installed 4 of these army surplus ones. Allyou have to do is unscrew the bed bolts and drill a larger hole in the mounting plate on the dring. Rattle Can them and they are done.

I was unaware that the Arm Surplus rings needed larger holes to accomodate the bed bolts. The OEM ones I used did not...straight plug and play.

I would still rather enlarge a hole in the d-ring assembly than to drill a hole in my bed.

Those of you installing them using the bed bolts; do they swivle like the factory ones in the rear? If so how are you doing it? Not that I need them to free spin, just curious.

I bought mine directly from the local dealer a little over a month ago. Told them what the TRDParts4U cost was and they matched it. Maybe your local dealer has some in stock or can get them somewhere?

army surplus ones dont. I angled them the way I thought would be most useful 90% of the time. I actually just cut the holes in my bed mat....man it hurt to do that, but I am glad I did. I will get a pic of it this weekend.

These are the army surplus ones

my truck is only a few months old so getting the bed bolts off was not that big of a deal.

Looks great and very functional. Great job. Seems like a very useful mod (something that should be standard on a truck)

Its the most useful mod. Those bed rails flex when i tie stuff to them. So the D-rings are great!

I guess all of the dealers are different. I went to my dealer this morning and they were going to charge me $55 for a set of two. Boy was I going to get ripped off. I want to do this mod badly but I dont want to spend alot of money on it.
