    Haha...done!

Got a chance to record a 3rd gear pull today from 45 to 80mph. Kinda tricky to record with a 6 speed manual without a cell phone mount lol so excuse the shaky footage.

Would've done the 'standard' 40-90mph benchmark run but another shift would be required to hit 90, and my shifting hand was holding the cell phone.

    Elevation: +/- 60 feet
    Outside temp: 70 degrees
    Peak boost: 7psi
    AFR @ redline: 10.3
    All windows up

    http://youtu.be/L6zsRKcD7OM

The pulley definitely made the whine louder at higher rpm's...even enough to drown out my exhaust. :D

Yeah 7 looks to be it...

I definitely gotta master my "down" 3-4 upshift skinny pedal/clutch timing on this thing to record a solid 40-90mph run time lol.

I keep forgetting how much low end the 2.85 pulley has added and have caught myself a few times shifting 'normally' while already doing 75+ mph before merging onto freeways.

You couldn't be more right about that.

Trying to "race" through these Tacoma 6sp manuals is like trying to run fast in mud.

Xrunner guys got it down though lol so I know there's room for improvement on the driver end.

Well if you figure it out let me know! I find it shifts a bit smoother if you get on the skinny pedal just a hair as the clutch is just about all the way out, not enough to get the engine to rev but to take up that lag in pedal press to response area.

Yup, that's the trick to finessing the drive by wire & 6speeds on these things---just a little more skinny pedal at the top of the clutch release.

If anything though, a supercharger only amplifies the imperfect shifts lol. BUCK CITY.

Dang I didn't realize how significant that was! Well, I essentially have added 100hp so I guess that seems to make sense.

That said, when's your SC going on? :D doooo eeeeet

    Antonio,

Joooo better be ready, señor. I'll be turning it over to DTF HQ so you can burn some metal lovin on her....verrrry soon. ;)

haha, well between being 5,000 feet above you, my tires weigh 55 pounds each and are taller by a hair, I have full skids/sliders, steel plate rear bumper, bed rack and tent, 200 pounds in the bed... that might account for a few seconds, then add your hp and that's the difference i guess :)

and I wont have forced induction anytime soon... :( we'll see what the future holds, someday!
