There are a bunch of great forest roads in the NF just southeast of Taos, and also the whole area north of Red River. That's a goldmine of off-roading up there. I broke the suspension off of an old Montero in Bearwallow Canyon once; had to walk out (around 30 miles).

Cool deal, I don't know anyone around there so it'd be great to meet up with you fellas. I've got a cabin in the Pecos Wilderness (near Terrero general store and stables) so I'm a lil familiar with the area. Maybe we'll have a (few) beer(s) sometime.

I live about 45 min from Taos, hit me up when you get here we can grab a beer sometime. Like others have said Red River has a lot of trails. Also south east of Taos, heading towards Penasco, there are a ton of forest and logging roads. Lots of really beautiful scenary everywhere.

Must see cabin! Destination trail run woot!

Seriously, that seems like an awesome place for a cabin, would love to check it out. We (TW NM owners) have done a few runs up that way to get Christmas trees. Or am I completely lost? Got a sweet little scraggly one last year.

Looking forward to it! I've been checking out Red River on GoogleEarth, looks pretty awesome

Haha, sounds good man! :mudding: The place is on Grass Mountain, it's just north of where the Mora meets the Pecos.

during monsoon season it might be. In fact I would definitely not go in there until at least september, way too dangerous.
