What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Ha I'm not complaining!

 

Got my Billies and Toytec coils installed along with my LR UCA's, wasn't too bad of an install but it did wear out my knee's. As for the SAW's that where installed I don't think I will be rebuilding them, they are in pretty rough shape and I'm not up to the task. I had to cut the top nut off because of rust. Also a coil was broke. I will get some pics of them later if anybody wants them.

Changed driver side lower ball joint. Pretty easy job, Took about 2 hours.

Got the melted wiring harness re-wired and now my locker motor works. Now I just have to get the gears lined back up so it will engage and disengage correctly.

 

Used it to take my dirt bikes up to el mirage today

 

Did an engine oil and oil filter change today....

 

I put a die hard platinum in my truck yesterday. Ended up breaking one of the cheap ass terminals I had, so I need to get a couple of new ones and I need to modify my battery strap because the new battery is a little shorter than the old one. Nothing is easy anymore .

 

I noticed the other night that one of the lights behind my gauges was out (half the tach was dark) but then it came back on a few days later and last night it was out again. Has anyone else had something like this happen? I was hoping it was just a bulb that had gone out but since it comes and goes I'm thinking it's something worse.

 

Finally did the diff breather mod and continued painting my skids. Soon they will be ready to mount. I also looked into what it would take to get my hella 700's behind the grill to stop pointing at the tree line and it looks like it will require cutting deeper into my grill. I'll use it as an opportunity to re-clear my grill since it's all faded and shit.

 

It's probably just a bulb or a loose connection. My A/C panel had one that would go out and I could bump it with my hand and it would come back on, then finally it went out and stayed out. I still haven't had a chance to pull it apart and see if the bulb blew or not.

Nice truck

 

Did a little tune up before driving georgia to utah starting on saturday. Changed spark plugs and wires, cleaned the maf and throttle body, restored my headlights, and cleaned the air filter. Also reworked my exhaust bracket a bit after getting my lift installed last week. Took about 2 hours total.

Can you post some pics of how your exhaust is bent to have it exit out the bedside before you sell please?


On another note I feel stupid as shit. I have been really confused as to why my e brake light has been on since my lift went on. I have been so focused on the e brake itself (tension, adjustments, grounding at the handle) that I never payed attention to the sensor that plugs in to the brake reservior. I was just low on fluid after bleeding the brakes when I put my ext rear brake line on
