I don't like the over-sized grill trend everyone is doing...

I agree. Although right now if for some reason I move on from the Tacoma, I'd probably find an older Sierra and have some work done to it.

The new 2500 and 3500 Serrias look amazing.

My dad used to have a 2001 Sierra 2500HD extended cab. It was a nice truck, too bad he traded for a F-250...

Before my fiasco last year I said that if I bought another truck I wanted a Silverado..still regular cab but just for the extra size. I'd have to at least consider GM and Ford if I wanted full size as well, but I think if I went GM again I'd get an extended warranty and not keep it one day after that ran out.

Honestly, I will be purchasing the extended warranty on any new vehicle I buy from here on in. I didn't buy it on the Tacoma and have been kicking myself for it. Vehicles are becoming more difficult to work on these days and some of the electronics simply can't be fixed if they go out (and replacement can be costly). Manufacturers aren't making cars like they used to, they just aren't made to last (and all manufacturers are guilty of this).

This is why my next vehicle will probably be older, something pre -VVT. Even the newer Tacoma's, you can't even disable your seatbelt chime without making a trip to the dealer.

I thought the same thing when I bought mine... I also wasn't planning on keeping it as long as I have. I usually get rid of vehicles every 3 - 4 years but there have been a few life changes since I bought it that sort of prevented that from happening.

You mean like 2012 and newer? You can disable the seat belt chime on the 2nd Gens  I haven't had the seat belt chime since day one and there is a thread on how to disable it yourself. If you need it, I'll find it for you.

I've disabled it on mine. But mine is a 2008. I guess the 2012 or 2013 models need to be done by the dealer.
