you wife is going to win, she is already thinking five years down the road where as you are saying you will deal with it when the time comes. at ag 14 start talking about grandmas buick or an oldsmobile that somone you know has taken good care of, if he gets a job let him decide if not, get him grandmas buick for a few months to let him crash

Your probably right. My son already sits in the front looking around like its going to be his. He even told his uncle not to grab stuff from the side of the bed leaning on it because of belt buckles and zippers on coats. I think he wants this thing in mint condition when he gets it. I've taught him well.

Nice. A buddy of mine was looking at Tundras and went with a Ram because it was $6k cheaper with same options. I had to bite my tongue because he was excited.

The only thing I like the dodges non diesels is the interiors have way more high end options than Toyota offers. I want a tundra in the next year or two but I hope they step up there game. Or I will be getting a diesel.

Well, it looks like the time has come to get the taco ready to sell. :pout:It's going to be sad to see it go, but in a couple years, I'll be able to get another one as a dedicated wheeler (wife has already agreed! :taco:). We both really want to move into a bigger house with a bigger garage and start tryin for kids in the next couple years. She gets a new house and then I can get another truck. In the meantime, I'll be starting my collection of parts for putting Dana 60's, twin sticks, and a crawl box in the next taco as soon as I get it. :D

I have never sold a vehicle by myself. I've always traded it in. I do not have the title (bank does). For those of you with the experience I lack, what does this process look like? What's the best way to go about this. I'm meetin with my detail guy after work today to get all the rocky mountain pinstripes taken off and get everything cleaned up nicely. The truck will be gettin a new windshield installed this week, too.

Also, the private party Kelley Blue Book value lists my truck (in stock form) at just shy of $26K in excellent condition. Which it will be after the detail guy gets done with it. For those that have gone through the buying/shopping process recently and those that have seen or been around my truck, what do you think is a fair asking price to list it at? For those that don't know, the truck is a 2010 MGM DCLB TRD Sport (56K miles) with a 2.5" 5100/OME lift, 1.25" body lift, 35" treadwright tires (put on in may 2013), Skinkwerks sliders, Leer Camper Shell, Yak rack, bed rug, custom front/rear high clearance bumpers, rock lights, aux. front lights, dual battery, and heated mirrors. The truck is currently debadged, but I have the badges. Is it worth putting them back on? I may include the bedrack with the sale of the truck if that's the deal maker. If not, I'll throw it up on TW for sale.

Anybody know of someone looking for a sweet truck? PM me.

Any help and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Just list it and say bank has title and the lenders will transfer title. I've had to do it before, when buying a vehicle. You could always see what carmax will offer you as well. How much you selling it for?

I was hopin to get $28k for it. Thought about listing it at $29k just to have a little wiggle room.

Trying to avoid selling it to a dealer. The two I've talked to appear to only go as high as the lowest blue book trade in value and could care less about any aftermarket add-ons. AutoNation Toyota offered me $21k. I laughed, thanked him for his time, and said have a great day.

Edit: The guy told me he could probably go higher on the trade in value if I bought a car off their lot (new or used). I don't really want to do that as I'm planning to buy a cheapo car with cash and they don't typically have those on their lots. By cutting out my truck payment, wifes car payment (doing the same with hers), and full coverage insurance, we'll save an additional 1,000 bucks each month. Not to mention the truck isn't the best on gas mileage, haha.

...but wait and see what I'll be doin to the next one in a couple years! It'll be an access cab, too! ON 4D's!!!!!

Yeah, gonna suck big time. I've already been a little depressed about it. I was servicing the OBA setup this weekend and decided that I would just uninstall it. I don't really want to sell that. Spent too much time on it to let that go.

However, it was bound to happen. Wife absolutely hates offroading. I'll give her credit, she's tried several times. She just gets so carsick and the only way to treat it is to take dremamine and sleep through it. She slept the entire way over Engineer pass two weeks ago, haha. Rather than have a family friendly wheeler/DD, I'm gonna build a dedicated trail rig.
