That I am looking at full size trucks and the Tundra is currently in the lead? Sure, go ahead.

The door locks is definitely the most annoying thing that's broken on my truck. My driver door and passenger rear door are both dead. What's even more annoying is the cause of the malfunction is a $2 motor but I can't find a replacement. I got the model # off the one in the door, searched online, found 2 for $1/ea, but the output shafts are different so they won't work. I still keep poking around for a placement motor but no luck yet. $225 for that assembly just ain't happening, especially since I need 2 of them!

LCAs, I'll take the blame for (although I do call bullshit on the design). The bushings themselves weren't worn out, everything inside was just seized to hell.

Pretty stupid that the $2 part is the issue under it all. And yeah, $225 installed by the dealer is still up there never mind just for the fkn part! Too bad there's no other crossover on that..or is there.

Eh, the first LCA's I guess you gotta eat that one anyway

I'm not sure if there is a crossover part or not. I think the Highlander one is similar or even the same but that assembly isn't any cheaper from what I've found. One of these days I want to bring the motor to a hobby or RC shop and see if they can find something that will work.

As far as the LCA's, I'm still pissed about it and think it's an asshole setup! A simple bolt with an eccentric washer on either end would be more than sufficient and wouldn't cost over $100 to replace just the nuts and bolts. SPC makes a much simpler hardware set for the front end. If I can get my front end broken free, I might yank the OEM hardware and replace with SPC stuff.

True, but perhaps the $2 motor you mentioned is used in more than the Tacoma..and perhaps a little easier to chase down. I like the idea of a RC shop though..or maybe even a machine shop may have some little doodad.

I don't think the setup is great from how you described it but at least you can say lifting the truck might have helped it..the first time that is..

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Slightly irritated that linex didn't have my LCA skids done, until dude said "no charge" because they were supposed to be ready on Friday.

Anyone know where I can purchase the tailgate guard?? The steel top plate that protects the top edge? Rob do you have one? I vaguely remember someone having one at the meet and greet. My plastic one popped off and is not doing the job...

Supercharging my Tacoma only solves on of my problems. It does nothing for making more room in my driveway(Mazda would be traded in) and still doesnt have enough room for kids when they come along.

    Not much with a 5.3. Ford makes one that's 4wd 6.0 and 7.3 powerstroke.
