I want in-cab winch controls...but the thought of drilling a hole in my winch gives me the heebie jeebies. Maybe get the plug-in cord the remote uses and splice into those wires. Leave the cord tucked up somewhere safe and plug it in when you want to use the winch?

Do you have an integrated winch, or is the solenoid separate? If the solenoid is separate, you just need leads added on to the solenoid box. Pretty easy stuff.
I would not splice the cord to the wired remote, I assume the wires are small and hard to deal with.
Another option is the WARN wireless remote. I've heard good things.

hey guys. havent posted in a while but hoping you can give me some advice.

so i was changing my break pads today. rear passenger side went fine, but when i moved over to the rear driver side i had some problems.

when i compressed the piston no brake fluid came out. same deal when i tried to bleed that side. gave it a solid 40-50 pumps and still nothing. i just put the new pads in on that one and moved on.

went to front passenger next, and still no brake fluid when i compressed the piston. the friend that was helping me wasnt too familiar with 4piston brakes, so he didnt really want to work on it anymore.

im guessing its pretty rare for no fluid to come out on 2 brakes. im planning on just taking it somewhere this weekend and having them look at it and then just put the new pads on.

you guys have any ideas what the problem might be?

and do you have any rec's for a good shop in/around tualatin? i wouldnt mind going into portland either.

You have lots of air in your system. Make sure the ebrake is off. Open the passenger's side rear brake nipple and have someone pump the brakes until fluid comes out. Once that happens, hold the brake pedal down and close the nipple. Do the same for the driver's rear. Then pass front and then driver's front. You'll have enough fluid to bleed the brakes at that time. Which leads me to.... how are you bleeding the brakes?

thats how we were doing it. ive never actually changed pads before but my friend that was helping me has. i was sitting in the drivers seat and he was opening/closing the bleed screw.

as for how i am bleeding them. i would pump 10x and hold, friend would open bleed screw. probably did that whole cycle 4-5times. when we did the first set of pads (passenger rear), fluid came out when we compressed the piston, and that side was bled in 10 pumps.

is there THAT much air in there? when we tried to compress the front passenger no fluid came out and thats where we decided to stop.

On the one brake that we did successfully not That much fluid was drained. I had uncapped the reservoir while we were bleeding so it could breath. It was still really full
