Bad news: my Taco was stolen. 2011 TRD Silver - I loved that truck & I hope there is a hideous level in hell where car thieves have to reside.

Good News: I'm buying a new Taco. Should I buy 2013 or wait for 2014 model?

Not much wait on 2014. But you're ripe for good deals on 2013.

I agree, but I don't see anything worth waiting for. I read Toyota's press release. Am I missing something?

    No...

It'll be the same thing...might be able to get the smoked headlights if you wanna pay like a grand or something.

    2013 + over priced BHLM = 2014

Ha just read your post and realized my 2013 was unlocked so I ran out and put on the club and locked it up. Thanks for the reminder! I'd go with the 2013 simply because I'm not that patient.

    thanks

Moving the backup camera screen to the head unit ... wonder if homelink remote function will return to rearview mirror...?

'SR' package? I'm assuming they mean SR5. But the press release suggests it's only going to be available in 3 colors "available in Pyrite Mica, Spruce Mica and Nautical Blue Metallic exterior colors only" - that seems strange. But maybe I'm not interpreting the press release correctly.

When I bought my 13' DCSB 2 weeks, the salesman said the tacomas will have a new look. He mentioned the front and back will look like the new 4runners. Personally, I like the present style and don't see myself driving another body style.

    Aloha

Don't expect to get much of a deal on a left over 13. When I ordered my 13 in late September of 12, I couldn't get any better deal on a left over 12 vs ordering a new 13. Multiple dealers told me Toyota doesn't overproduce Tacomas and therefore there were no extra rebates or deals on a left over, I actually got a better deal on ordering and waiting for a 13.

It's a lot of money to spend on a new vehicle, so I say get the Tacoma exactly how you want it in color and configuration. If you can find the exact color and configuration in a left over 13 then go for it. You'll probably be out of luck soon unless you want white or black though. If you can't find what you want and have time to wait, then order a 14 exactly how you want it. Doesn't sound like they are really going to change at all.
