The mud, it doesn't stay here long.

You should have shot 3 more to make it a really good shooting day.

Yar, no reason to jack up the back end other than comfort.

Make sure to torque them properly when you get the new ones on.

    :ohsnap:

I shot some .357 loaded with 125-gr hollowpoints; chronographed at 1654 fps from a 6" barrel. Sounded almost like a rifle.

There were a number of other shooters out there; I kept hearing their shots echoing off the bluffs from different directions.

    The gnats were murderous.

Thanks, Tom! Sounds good, I will make sure to torque them; just have to figure out the proper torque number for the All-Pro U-bolts. I'm pretty sure stock is 73lbs, but could be wrong.

Getting one of those trail gear breathers would be easier, but I've heard that they crack. :notsure:

Stock should be all you need. I seem to recall Kyle's was higher, around 90lbft but his is a 5 lugger and not sure if we might have been using 1st Gen numbers.

If it cracks, I'll run a hose. Unless you expect to be sitting in standing water for hours on end, the breather stuff isn't that critical.

All I got to say is, I may have got my FSM for free because I have awesome friends, but a very worthwhile investment in the long term maintenance of our beloved 'Yotas.

Indeed, I am going to have to get my hands on one at some point and get to learning this mechanic stuff.

I attempt to be a good Buddhist but was really stoked about the state of my truck today. Getting all attached and stuff...

I wish I could. My fiance is graduating from grad school on Saturday so I don't think I can wiggle out of those activities. Saturday's are usually busy for me, but if anyone ever has a mod day on Sunday, I will be there.

You guys are welcome to come by when you get free. I am guessing that this may be an all day affair. One thing I learned from my dad is take the estimated time and cost of a project and multiply by a factor of three. Then you'll be close. We're not starting until 11-ish anyway. Got to get my workout in that morning.

Cool, I will see what is going on. The graduation is mid-morning and then festivities and dinner with her family.

You are absolutely right about time and cost, projects generally end up taking more of both.

I'm on lots of not so cool drugs where I have to avoid sunlight. Going to slather on the sunblock and stick around long enough to get the axle pulled and maybe a bit more.

I'm going to be optimistic and say we get it done in an hour and then can tune your CB.
