    we have 2 little eye screws or what ever on the beam above the garage door on the out side to do the same thing. I just had to adjust my front shifter/derailer the other day.

    Nope, the motor and everything around it was clean as could be. Took it apart and everything too. Turned out to be a few burnt wires from getting my sliders welded on. Could have been much worse and much more expensive!

    The heat from welding melted them or somehow a spark hit it. The battery was disconnected beforehand. The wiring harness that connects to everything behind the cab is right under the driver side door. He covered it up with a thick wet rag, but I guess it wasn't enough.
