Since I've put on my supertop, I've been picking apart all of the pros and cons. I really wish there was a way to introduce some fresh air into the bed (for the puppy) without having one of the windows up or out. The screen windows would have been nice, but are no longer available from Bestop. But that would have been less than ideal if it were to start raining

So, I'm looking to see if anyone has modified the window that abuts the cab to be able to access the bed from inside the cab? I'm thinking something along the lines of a removable velcroed section of the window that would seal up to the cab the way hard camper shells do.

And for anyone who's a stickler for threads going in the correct section. I didn't know where exactly to put this. But it seems there's more 2nd gens with the supertop, so here's where it's going.;)

You could always buy replacement bestop windows and unthread the clear plastic and then sew on some screen material. That way you have a set with plastic.windows for rain and the screen for your dogs

That's not a bad idea and I appreciate the suggestion. I may end up doing that if nothing else pans out. I'll have to look at how the windows are attached the next chance I get. They may be bonded to the black vinyl.

Well I haven't made any windows or mods to the existing windows personally. But I did come up with some ideas.

    Check out this link: http://www.thenewx.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9610

It shows someone making removable screen windows for car camping by rtv'ing magnetic strips to a screen cutout. My thought is to make a screen window slightly larger than the removable supertop windows, and using an extra magnetic "gasket on the other side to sandwich the screen to the supertop.

Nice write-up. FYI, the Bestop part for the mesh screen kits is: 76321-35. Bestop has stopped manufacturing this item but I have found a few online retailers that have the item listed in their inventory. So far three attemps to order the part have failed. I am continuing on. If all fail, I will make the screens similar to the above write-up.
