I was worried that 18' of coax wasn't going to be enough from what others have said, but I had over a foot leftover.

Are you going to mount the radio like mine?

I'm the same way every time I order something! I payed for it, why shouldn't I have it now? Haha I currently have a Hi-Lift I ordered on base in the post office, but I can't get it until Monday...

I bought 20' and ill chop what I don't use. I went with the cobra 75wxst since I have a double din. My buddy has one and it works well. Ill mainly use it for weather more than anything else.

I haven't really been updating this lately... Haha

    Installed my cb radio yesterday

And in the process found this. It seems that the heat from welding the sliders melted some wires even though it was covered with a wet towel. I think this is the issue with my locker. The motor is getting about 12.7 volts to it, but the actual harness that tells whether it's locked or not is getting nothing. So I spent about $60 worth of electrical wiring and stuff to fix it. Guess this is a good time to learn how to solder haha

Also, all of my recovery gear except for my Hi-Lift came in. Should be picking up the Hi-Lift tomorrow.

Once I get all of this mess figured out, maybe I'll be able to get a ton of pics of my truck. It's been a while...

Yeah, I used a 90* elbow. Yours does look farther in than mine. Mine is hitting the air vent duct behind it. I'll use the supplied mounting tabs if it starts to fall out.

Thanks, I hope it does too! Have a trail run to go to on the 24th and a massive FJ Rally to go to on Labor day weekend and I need it! Haha

Where and how do you have that external speaker mounted and what do you do with you mic?

I mounted the external speaker in front of my e brake handle. It can swivel down so I can pull the e brake. But I rarely use the e brake.
Right now my mic is laying around the 4wd selector. I'm gonna mount the tab to the left of the vents above the am/fm radio, to the right of the hazards switch.

Oh, okay cool. I think the speaker on the cb will be enough for me, but good knowledge if I change my mind later.

I forget you're a double cab... My passenger airbag switch is right there, would be a perfect spot for a mic though.

Got the melted wiring harness re-wired and now my locker motor works. Now I just have to get the gears lined back up so it will engage and disengage correctly.

That's where I want to put my mic too. But my ultra gauge is there now and I don't like it anywhere else. So I think I'll just have it around my shifter for a while until I figure it out.

Thanks! I went with the 60". It may be overkill for now but better safe than sorry.

Yeah, it wasn't too bad to re-wire everything. Gave me a reason to learn how to solder haha I should have bought a soldering iron a long time ago!

I still need to get my cb tuned, can't wait to use it next weekend!

Now that I'm done fixing everything, I may finally get to wash it and take some good pics of everything.

Hey man, good looking build! When I get some more time I'm gonna really look through your pages and hopefully see how much trimming you had to do for your tires, I have the Eibach/Toytec Coils/5100s up front and am waiting on my All-Pro Expos/5125s for the rear. That gave me the perfect excuse to get new rubber
