Out of curiosity, you planning on putting water in the blue one? Because I'm not sure the interior coating will be food-safe, so not potable.

 

i'd like to get 2 with spouts…. if some one wants to jump in with me for the other 2…..

You sure about that? Unless it was different before I got mine, FHA loans do have PMI but they call it MIP. It's less per month but you have an up front percentage to pay that usually gets rolled into the mortgage.

That's correct. With most loans whenever you pay extra principle you are reducing the amount of interest you end up paying. The monthly payment required will not change as they keep that set, but you'll have less payments and if you check the payment break down you should see less and less going to interest and more going to principle. Which is normal, yes, but compared to the payment schedule you should have gotten in your loan docs it will change faster.

I'm about flat on my house…. but i know think there is room for the value to go up before it goes down….(fingers crossed)…. so, as i gain margin on my premium and the value goes up. Can i refi later on and dump more $ down and get rid of PMI?
I dont think I'll ever try to refi to get $ out of it… I much rather just make my monthly morgage smaller/pay house faster…

positive, there were stipulations with the loan though. had to be a first time home buyer, had to be a principle residence, could not be a "fixer-upper" & there was a map of homes that qualified. Mine just happened to be one & my realtor suggested to go with the FHA to dodge the PMI/MIP.

 

Yes, if you do a standard refi they would re-assess the value of your house. If the loan amount is 80% or less then no PMI.

Those are standard stipulations of FHA. What year did you get yours? I did mine in 2009 and from then on there's always been MIP as far as I know. Unless it's different in Jersey. But that is a huge thing to drop out of a mortgage.
