^^^^^this. Subbed as I'd buy one in a second if I could mount it with the electronic 2010 mirror and an ultragauge underneath.

We anticipated the interest with the Convenience Mirror...but haven't had the chance to test with it. We have THREE Tacomas...but all with the v
Basic mirrors. We are NOW working with a couple of TW members to test the fit on the electronic mirrors. We already know it fits...but not sure exactly what mods might be necessary.

We'll keep you posted...hopefully very soon!

I have a 2013 with auto-dim mirror and just rec'd the riser (quick ship, thanks!).

I'll start a thread and edit this one with my install. It appears that I'll have to cut a very small amount of headliner. Stay tuned...

Hold off on cutting the headliner, BirdDawg tested the mount on my 2013 with the "inconvenience package" mirror (back up camera) and got it to work, They should be posting pics soon. Its a real easy & clean installation.

Agreed. We took a look at the 2011 w/ electronified mirror as well and the bracket is the same. Very minor trimming on the bracket and that's all. I'm going to play with the oem plastic cover (the smaller one) to see if I can't make that fit as well. :)

Thanks to kai38` and YOTA LOVER for their assistance in allowing us to get intel on how our Mirror Riser would work on a Convenience Package mirror.

    IT DOES!!!

It does however require a small "Nip and Tuck" surgery because of the bracket that holds the wire clip. We got pics of our install on kai38`s truck the other day. I'll post pics tomorrow.

    Today's my wedding anniversary...and I've got a romantic dinner scheduled. :D

Got my riser for the 4Runner today!

Install was an absolute bitch because of the glasses holder.

My only complaints with the item:

1: the set screw fit very loosely inside, and threaded at an angle. Not very impressed with that

2: it was a pain to set onto the stock mount. I actually had to push at an angle, starting with it resting on the headliner, forcing the headliner down (love that cracking sound) and then it fit. THEN I remembered I needed to put the damn mirror mount on BEFORE putting the riser on. Even harder to take it off in my 4Runner. I managed

3: no screws for the RAM mount.... Yet the holes are threaded? Am I missing something here? (Suggestion time :humble::humble: ) I would gladly pay $2 more to have the proper screws included with the RAM ball just so I don't have to find them on my own, adding needless frustration to the project. Especially because Bird and Dawg know which width and pitch was used when they had the holes threaded in the mount. That way I won't have to take my mount out again, hit up the closest ACE hardware store, and find some ugly ass bolts that won't fit or look right..

4: was NOT aware the ram ball was so big. I was excited to use it with my stock Garmin GPS mount.... Nawp.
    7ega7y4a_fe74d70b10030f99e01b4ecc16146dc390dbff09.jpg
Ended up purchasing a 3" RAM extender arm and the X-Grip to hold both my phone and my GPS. I feel the pitch of the 4Runner windshield is such that I would definitely need the 3" arm to be able to use the GPS or my phone with ease, otherwise, the ball is sitting to high behind the mirror to be seen. :anonymous:

I appreciate the opportunity to test this on my 4Runner, and I think the product is solid! I like it a lot! I just feel that with a few tweaks as far as included information (which size RAM ball is being included perhaps :notsure: ) and some included hardware, this thing would be top notch! I give 8.5/10 for now until I get some screws in the mail :oldglory::boink:

Thanks for being the guinea pig. Look forward to all your 4Runner friends getting on board too. BTW...that is that thing above the mirror hanging out of the headliner? Antenna???

Thanks for the honest assessment. You're point about no RAM mount hardware being included is well taken. We considered sourcing some (RAM won't include any) but had so many things on or plate that we never did. We'll look into it. I'm sure we wouldn't have to add $2 to the price.

BTW...the purchase page does clearly state that the RAM ball is the 1" (standard) ball (you had me there...I thought maybe I forgot to include that detail). We'll look into stocking the smaller ball too.

On our next run we'll check the set screw hole and set screw tolerances closely to make sure they are more snug. I just checked several and did find that some are tapped just a bit off of perpendicular. In no way does it affect the operation...but it does speak to a bit of sloppiness in production. I didn't find any that were overly loose...but I could see how some of them could be a tad tighter. Again, this doesn't at all compromise the product.

We can't imagine anybody installing a device directly on the ball. I use a 3" arm on mine and it positions my NUVI perfectly right below the mirror. I have it on an X-grip.

We're glad you like the product...and fully accept and appreciate, your constructive feedback. Thanks for being open and frank!
