I currently have 45acp's bender :spy:

All I own is a HF kinker :D It works for 95% of what I do, hell I built the whole bed with it, and used it for several bends on the skid assembly I just built.

that's all i have right now too. works though. 3 roof racks, 3 bed racks, off road trailer, a couple of bumper light hoops, and a number of other smaller components.

not at all. slow for sure, and you have to take your time to get repeatable bends, but if you have the patiaence and means to measure/level correctly, it's a handy little deal.

12T here as well. Once you get the hang of it, it doesn't really do a bad job!

Cool. I'd like to try to add some grille/headlight protection on my bumper. Sounds like it should do the trick.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I think I have heard of the tube bender before. Is this one that you need plans to build out of misc HF parts? If so does anybody have a link as to how to build one?

OP very nice truck BTW. Been watching your build for a while. Looks like it's finally comming together.

I am currently using a combination of the harbor freight pipe bender and a JD2 bender.

Bolted on 1/8" plate, dimpled real nice

Then it (plate) can be removed for fluid servicing, or the whole kit 'n caboodle can be dropped for driveline removal.

And before anyone says I should've used countersunk fasteners go try to find some in 1/4"-28 thread because that's what the inserts in the threaded trick tabs from ballistic are. I looked at three places before giving up and just using gr 8 bolts.

bah, countersunk hardware is overrated, just toss that dimpler in the bolt holes and recess the standard hardware :p

I was going to dimple a pattern in this but I think it looks good smooth too

i agree, and it's narrow enough that it's not going to bend as easily as a standard skid. might as well jsut run couple trusses on the back side if you're worried about strength, and avoid the potential for snagging that the dimples would create.

Too bad they don't have socket head. The only excuse I can give you now is that you dont want to run phillips head or pay the overpriced shipping from McMaster.

I can order them in a hex socket no problem. I was looking at local places I could walk in and buy them.

Yeah its the top portion of the 4x mount, modified a bit. I don't know how any of the others clocked there cases, but I really didn't pay much attention to degrees etc. But...I ended up with the crawlbox itself clocked and the tcase clocked. Everyone else had a flat mount under the crawlbox but mine wouldn't work.

I had to remove one of the bushings from the 4x mount and relocate it on the mount to work with my setup. I will snap a pic tonight.
