    Look into those Treadwrights..

Maybe we can do some wheeling/expo this winter. Would like to check out Hell's Canyon in the winter/ maybe Quilomene. Got to try out that winch line:D, put it on yet?

Just lost a voltage regulator on one of our auxiliaries.. Fawk. It's on a 100 KW; voltage was going from 95 to 190 VAC. Think that's the fastest I've ever switched generators! Was an exciting couple of minutes..

Hell yeah Jason, glad to hear you're keeping the Taco and staying in the PNW! I think this winter will be a good time to plan some indoor mod-days, in-between a few snow-wheeling trips.

It was dark, as you can see, and I was trying to turn around in Tyler's campsite without a spotter. Crunched the bottom part of the fender a bit but should bend back with minor creases. The fender bar saved me yet again!

The MT/Rs have treated me wheel, though they can be squirrely on fresh rain/ice if you have a lead foot like me. I might sipe the middle, but that will chunk-out pretty quickly.

When it comes time for me to get new tires, I might look into MT Baja MTZs or Nitto Trail Grapplers (Gary just got a set, and they performed damn well @ TSF). I will probably be looking into 315/70R17 to get a little more clearance.

Roxanne expects this kind of stuff nowadays. And Darwin was being useless inside the cab. I blame Tyler mostly.

Yea, no serious damage for sure. I had more damage elsewhere that weekend. Me and my dad were going up a climb but had to stop to check the layout of rocks and things so I put in the E brake. When I took it off there was a loud popping sound. A couple miles down the trail we stopped to pick up firewood but when we started going again my left rear tire wouldn't move. It was locked up. At first my dad thought it was the diff. I am thinking "holy $hit! That's gonna suck!!" But after rocking it a bit and drove it back to camp, the drum was really hot. We took the wheel and drum off to find the E brake rivet was punched through the dust cover and twisted the bottom parts of the brake shoes and linkages. Picture below. Had to run to Gresham for new shoes and spring pack. Pushed the rivet through the dust cover for a temp fix. No issues since.

Anyone know how this could've happened?

Yikes! All I know is as soon as my drums wear out, disk brake conversion time.

Yikes, no clue how that could've happened. I always look at my e-brake cable when wheeling and think how tight it gets pulled.

I haven't really looked into the Tundra or Disc Brake conversion, but it's something to keep in mind for the future. I plan on keeping my Taco for a decade +, so once it gets up there in age/mileage, I might get crazy with long-term conversions that will let me get another 10+ years out of it.

Finally getting my sewer line connected today to the new system. First thing the guys says is that the driveway wasn't considered in the bid. I had talked to his estimator specifically about that issue.
I already feel like they might be trying to get all they can out of me. So far they aren't sticking me with more. So its $18k to the city for sewer and water lines replaced in the area, and hopefully not more than the $3500 agreed on bid to hook up.

I feel like I'm burying a hefty down payment on a new truck. Next is to replace the driveway with new asphalt or concrete. wonder how much of all this will actually be valued into the house, I'm guessing 20% if lucky.

Yeah, my g/f hates all the cosmetic damage on my truck. She doesn't get pissed, just disappointed.

It's always fun when I do a new mod, and "try" to explain how it benefits me and/or my truck....she kind of gets this glazed-over look in her eye, and only sees $$$ that could've been spent on more important things, i.e. buying property/house :p

That's the one I see driving around town all the time!!! That thing is beastly and beautiful! I was asking the Jeep guys in SAR if they'd seen it, but no one had (surprisingly).

I had no idea how much thought he put into it - it's a seriously sweet rig.

If I were EVER get a Jeep, it would be a Comanche or a Scrambler CJ8

Yep, definitely a Jeep done right. I wouldn't hesitate to rock one of the Comanches.

So...time for Can Opener, right? haha.

Eh, needs to be lower and wider. Definitely a pretty penny in parts on it though.
