Other conferences usually step in when the season starts and then disappear pretty quickly when they start losing.

Coffeesnob will go with whoever has the best shot (generally ND or OSU).

But the essence of the situation is that there just isn't too much else to be excited about other than for the Oregon guys.

In the last 71 AP Polls, an SEC team has been #1 in 54 of them (dating back to Nov 2008).

 

Can't argue with that logic...

 

We love our ducks. No doubt about that. The only other Pac-12 fan base who love their team as much is the Fuskie (UW) fans. They are a very rabid fan base as well. And the hate we have for each other is like no other. It's one of the most storied rivalries in the nation dating back to 1900.

 

I went to ASU and I definitely understand the college football passion. I rep the PAC 12 Hard. Its the 2nd best conference at the moment. Looking forward to beating ND in Dallas this year. I was just pointing out that any college football thread turns into a Midget Demon Cave Troll (Nick Saban) worship fest. I bet you have a great time Tailgating at Bama games in your Subaru Outback.

 

Granted, there are some 'Bama fans on here but they aren't obnoxious as you are starting out to be, and I have yet to see any Little Nicky worshippers on here. However, what is more than a little disconcerting is the fact that you "rep" the Pansy Ass Conference so hard. Come back when you are relevant, please.

Saying you understand college football passion while at the same time making fun of tailgating? Yeah ok! Nice try. Where are the majority of the largest stadiums located? Where are the coaches paid the most?

 

I was making fun of the fact that he drives a Subaru Outback, Champ. And i hope A&M does well this year. ASU had Kevin Sumlin locked up and for some reason pulled the offer. Can't tell you how much they want that one back.

 

Where in the world did you ever get the idea I am an ohio state fan or have ever rooted for them?

 

I drove my Tacoma for 5 years and loved every minute of it. I used TacomaWorld to learn a shit-ton about my truck, and I enjoyed the community I found here. I sold the truck earlier this year, but I keep coming back (mostly to the football threads) because I still enjoy the community.

My family's needs changed, and the Tacoma was no longer practical. I made a big-boy decision and got a vehicle that was a better fit.

Going off of memory, I think he was referring that after 'Bama pounded ND like a cheap prom date, you said something to the effect about that wouldn't have happened to Ohio...but like I said, thats from memory and others will know more...

 

Jealousy is very unbecoming of the young one.

I don't know.... you'll have to show me the post. I used to Live near Columbus and people and family could not beleive I did not follow the buckeyes. Also making a statement that they will be a good team doesn't mean I root for them. They will be good this year maybe not alabama good but then again noone thought they had a chance against Miami back in 02?

 

I apologize if I offended you. I get a little too pasionate sometimes. I always joke around that Nick Saban has made a deal with the devil because he does is win and other teams always find a way to lose to get them in the natty. Like when Oregon lost last year to give up the natty run thus giving Bama the opportunity to dismember overated ND.
