Had several Accords in the past. Great, reliable cars that run forever. Enjoy.

He's saying farewell, and then recieving the shit storm for trading a taco in on a Honda. Id buy a 5 lugger 4 banger before i complety traded in my man card though. Im also pretty sure that if i did something like this i would just slip away and never be heard from again.

The new Camry V6 is pretty sweet. They definitely make one. Very sporty, similar power to the accord. I like the suede inserts on the seats. Too bad you never saw one of those.

What's the gas mileage on a 275 hp sedan these days anyways?

    21-24 mpg I would guess.

Good luck, nice color choice FWIW.

When you actually add up the difference in fuel cost between the Taco and the Honda, it won't really be significant.

A 55 mile round trip commute is nothing. The OP will be buying a truck again. Once you get used to a truck, it's tough to get in a car every day.

    Been there, done that....

Being married doesent mean you lose your man card so long as she makes you sandwiches while letting you stick it in her butt right after she washed and polished the accord

Dude, you did good on the sedan. Accord is to Camry as Taco is to Frontier...no comparison really.

Many moons ago, I traded in my pickup for a family car and every day I was plotting that my next car would be a pick-up, well six cars later (most of them Toyo's) I finally got back into a pick-up.

You'll be back, may take some time, but you'll be back :D

Enjoy your new car, it's one of the best at what it does.

Why wouldnt it be significant? i have to milk 20 mpg out of the truck, and the car should be getting 30-31 on a good day both ways to and from work...

Sucks that you traded the truck, but the Accord is one of the best sedans ever made. Honda is my #1 choice when it comes to cars. Congrats

Thanks, This wasn't the easiest of decisions... I still have the truck right now (waiting on the honda dealer to have the car next week), which doesnt help make the decision any easier, but the car is going to be worth it in the future.

    Taco - 20 MPG
    Accord - 30 MPG

Assume $3.25 a gallon for fuel.

That works out to be 0.1625 cents per mile for the Taco, and 0.1083 for the Accord.

    At 55 miles per round trip, that's a savings of $2.98 a day, or $14.91 a week.

To me, that is not significant enough to give up my truck. Not even close.

Accord is a great car. Very reliable. My mom traded hers in on a new maxima and she really misses it. And it will last for the long haul.
