that's what mine looked like on both sides. did my neighbors 4runner (older couple 100% highway/city driving) 75k miles and on both sides the inner seal was annihilated.
unbelievable! nobody is perfect but I would be embarrassed to have let that go & not take care of it.. talk about killing your reputation.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just replaced my LF hub a couple weeks ago and the OE assembly with new o-ring and seal was only $165 from Toyota. Are these hubs you are offering significantly better than the OE ? I was debating proactively replacing the pass side too to avoid a failure / getting stranded. This one absolutely imploded with very little warning... I got lucky this time and was only a few miles from my local 4x shop.

Assuming you have a 4x4, the hub (bearing), seal, & o-ring was $165 and you re-used your hub flange and mounting bolts, so that is not a complete setup like I offer.

Essentially, for another $34 you are getting a complete ready to bolt on hub assembly shipped to your door. This includes the bearing, mounting bolts, oil seal, o-ring & hub flange. My setup reduces down time & gives you the option to have have a spare assembly on your truck to prevent you from being stranded on or off road with a seized, or as you put it, imploded hub.

I am not sure what hub Toyota gave you but you have the option of a Timken or National bearing. I use the Timken (Koyo) bearing on my truck & others have opted for the Timken bearing but I do not favor either.

I have sold a few sets to guys that were just looking to have spares on their trucks, but the majority have purchased them to replace a worn out assembly.

Question: Would it be possible to get these without the wheel studs installed, Just don't feel like removing them?
