Morning (afternooon)! Just got up. Nice to have the truck back, especially since I drive home from work at 3 AM. I use the high beams and the real bright off road light behind my grill at night, lights up the road like daytime and helps me see deer a long way off. I need to take a few minutes today to check the wiring, but if the door panels need to come off I'm going to let the body shop fix it. Damage was just under 5 grand, but I just paid my deductible. Hi to everyone, weekend is here (for me, anyway).

You can use epoxy to reattach the outer frame to the inner surround.

And it looks like you should be able to bend that mesh back to straight if you remove it and take a rubber mallet to it...

If you cannot salvage the mesh I can easily make you a replacement section.

 

I'm not too worried about the mesh, the four busted plastic welds are my main concern.

 

I have 2 broken on mine as well. The only thing I can imagine did the damage to mine was the pterodactyl sized dragon fly that was stuck in it on my way to WA.

 

I've seen OEM grills with similar breaks.

Loctite Plastic Epoxy.

Dab on both sides of the break and then hold the two sides together in place with some blue masking tape. Cures in like 5min - you'll be good as new.

 

Hope you two can make up.

Hi B!! How's your house coming along? Everything else fit?

 

Yup already finished that place, got my framing inspection done and passed and already on to two other projects now. Have an addition that I'm looking after now and a garage. Foundation should have been inspected today for the addition and I should be starting to frame that up on Monday.

Got all the walls up and sheeted at the garage today, now I just have to wait for my trusses to come in.

 

It's already fucked lol. We are using our normal supplier but we have already had to modify plans to make sure everything works. You should see the plans my boss gave me, there's every colour of highlighter on it, blue black and red pen and pencil noting changes

 

Oh and our block foundation for the garage is way out of level. My boss was going on and on about his block layer being good. I said "you have to be fucking kidding me, come over here and look at this bullshit"

I put a 6' level on a small 8' long wall and it looked like a boat. One corner is 5/8" higher then the rest of the foundating, the other corner is 1/4" higher and bells down in the middle

He told me he will look for a new block layer now

 

Oh, joy.... gotta love folks that think women don't know what they are talking about
