Yep, that's how I roll. Most gyms don't allow chalk, but I've never had any complain about the liquid stuff.

Stuff pops up on Woot every now and then pretty cheap, and I'll snag my 3 bottle limit every time. Makes all the difference in the world for DL, Cleans, etc.....

I don't know what's what about Mr Olympia...but the standard height of a pool table is +/-30". 5'9" is a generous number for Jay Cutler in the photo.

I started lifting about a year and a half ago. Started at 135 and am now at 190. The pic on the left is about 2 years old before I started working out and the one on the right is last summer. I've put on about 10 more lbs. since then. Now I've just got to lose some fat. Trying to get down to around 8-9%

Yep. It's very similar to hand sanitizer, and I think the people at the gym think I'm a germ freak b/c the bottle looks very similar as well.
Just squeeze about a quarters worth in your hand. Then just rub your hands together, making sure to hit the critical areas for grip. It dries as you rub it in, and it's almost like a coat of chalk. Lasts longer then some powders I've used.

    The better coast
I'm a germaphob at the gym. The amount of people who don't wash their hands after gooding to the restroom is disgusting....now add sweaty balls to the equation :barf:

I frequent the hand sanitizer haha.

when you do chest, try to stick your chest out and pinch in your elbows, that way it pushed out your pecs and eliminate most of the delt muscles.

    That's seems like solid advice.

I'm still fumbling with the hand positioning on the bench. I can never get a perfect width. If I bring my grip too close i feel it in my delts and if I go out too wide I don't feel my chest is engaged.

Maybe I should start using more dumbbell

yeah i feel way more contraction when i use dumbbells, its easier to give your rep that last bit of squeeze than if you used a barbell.

also the exercise that will build your pec the most is decline press. your upper pec is very small compare to the pec major, flats are good too but decline is better.

Probably do less. Not saying this is your case, but I see dudes go in there and work their chest with like 4-6 different exercises. Their Chest!!! A muscle that has about the same volume as your calve. Not leg, but just calve.

I bench about twice a week. That's it. 5 working sets twice a week. Sometimes I'll do sets of 3, sometimes 5. Every blue moon I'll go for 8-10. I'll do some push-ups and dips in small numbers (50-100 total) once or twice a week on none chest days. But that is seriously it. This probably isn't the best way to win a competition, but either is lifting clean, so that's out the window anyway.

My shirts all pull tight in the chest, so I must be doing something correctly.

what's wrong with 4-6 exercise for chest? it's always better to hit your chest from all angles. incline, decline, flys n dips that's usually what i do on chest days, 4 sets of 6-10 each.
