    Which is the better Tacoma OR 4X4? the long bed or the short bed? Newbie here. Thanks guys.

    I assume you;re getting a double cab? If so, you cannot get a DCLB in the OR package.

    Correct. I was just asking which Taco (Long Bed or Short bed) was the better truck under 4 wheel drive conditions considering the longer frame for the long bed.

    From a 4 wheeling standpoint the DCSB would be superior. Shorter wheelbase means less chance to high center. :crapstorm:

    Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
    Short bed. The double cab long bed is not offered on the TRD OR package. Access cab TRD OR is the best choice, I'm sure everyone will agree with me.


    This. Plus tighter turning radius.

    Go for the short bed. Less square footage to remove mud from afterwards.

    You could get him down to 30k just haggle a bit....then cry a little about how your wife wont let you spend over xxx$ a month:D

    I bought my 2013 DCSB OR last september and got em down about 4k off sticker price.

    I like that, I might use that excuse.

    I want the DC. My off-road use will not include rock climbing, nothing super hard core where i would justify having the locker. But definately want the 4x4 for sure. The LB would be best. I just wish they Had a DCLB OR. Thats why it makes this decision so hard.
