Takes like 30 seconds with ODIN. Then you can remove bloatware which is taking a hit on your battery life as well.

Are boxless subs any good?im looking at this one And what type of speakers will work for me?
I'm not to picky about my music, but I do like to turn up the base on certain songs (country girl shake it for me, hick town, she's country, ect...) and I spend a good amount of time outside my truck with the stereo turned up.
I listen to country, if that makes a difference, i don't wanna spend a whole bunch of money (3-400) and it wouldn't be done all at once.
As far as I know my speakers are stock, and the headunit is a Sony xplod, and I may have had the JBL system (I have the little speakers in the doors)

I've never heard that sub before but it got good reviews. I've heard the sound ordnance powered 8 and it was pretty good and I would recommend it.

Thanks for the info Colby
As long as it fits under the front seat, sounds good, and its less then $250 I'm fine with it.

Np. They SO sub is harder to find but its worth it. The sub is clean. Boss makes one that had more bass but the sound was terrible.

Mom has a old motorola droid laying around that nobody uses, how hard would it be to set it up as my music device that stays in the car, and be able to use the torque app on it?
If my stereo has a USB in the back could i just run a cable through the dash to where i want to mount the phone?

    It's running android 2.2.3 (i think)

I'd have to know more about the HU to answer the USB part. If it does have USB it should power it but may or may not interface with the HU. Music could be outputted through the 3.5mm jack on the phone to the HU if the HU supports it.

As for the phone you can buy torque for $5 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en

and buy one of these http://www.amazon.com/Soliport-Bluetooth-OBDII-Diagnostic-Scanner/dp/B004KL0I9I

Plug in OBD2 bluetooth to truck, pair phone to it via bluetooth, install torque, input your data and setup your screens. Done.

Colby, I've been actually wanting to find a phone amd do what you did to the evo. Looking to have it run just torque, music, and gps. That's it. And use it for the truck. Possible? :D

Can you have more than one device paired/connected at the same time like a headset and the OBDII.

this is my HU, no rear USB, but it does have rear AUX, which i can definitely live with.
i may just put a holder above the AC controls to play music from, and charge.

i also might look into a charge mat to throw in the dash, so i can use the HUD feature on torque at night.
    good question
