more road damage..

On a road trip to Zion national park and Lake powell and saw what looked like paper or a bag in the air on the highway. Turned out to be a spinning 8" chunk of firewood someone had lost. I heard a big "THUNK" and thought oh well, more reasons to get a plate bumper, except the damn thing hit the headlight perfectly and shattered the clear housing. blah... I used packing tape to seal it up and had to replace the turn signal bulb. the shock broke the filament. Dealer in Vegas quoted $350 for the housing. Ouch!

 

Did you get that on HWY 89? That is one crazy ass road. Last time I was down there the I was being pushed to go 85+ by guys towing huge boats with jacked up trucks.

 

Ouch on a 13 too is there any other damage?

 

Check on ebay for the headlight.

no, on the 15 before vegas heading east. You are dead-on about 89. Nutty boat and pwc hauling guys going for towing land speed record.

 

nope, i hoped it hit the bumper, but seems the headlight took all the impact.

 

ooooh nice find! im afraid of ebay lights though for fogging/quality concerns, but i like the angel eyes and projectors a lot.

 

Update: I found these for $150ish which is of course about $200 cheaper than the stealership part. I'll report back on fit/finish/match once I get it.
