So what Exactly does the Pre Runner include?

So what Does the Pre-runner include? My buddy is going to get rid of his 2012 DCLB 4X4, BDS 6in lift, Toyo open Country Tires, Banks Power exhaust. But its not a pre Runner. Just want to find out what I'm missing not having the pre-runner. This is the Truck.....

 

I think the BDS Lift kit comes with new shocks. Not sure though.

 

Not sure I understand the question??? You're not "missing" anything by not having a PreRunner except having 2wd instead of 4wd.

Maybe I'm reading the question wrong?

Essentially a PreRunner is a 2wd with a 4X4 suspension.

 

Your not missing anything. Pre-runner is 2 wheel drive with 4 wheel drive suspension, it sits higher than a 2 wheel drive non pre-runner.

 

Prerunner is a Tacoma on 4x4 wheel base, suspension and frame just no 4x4 aka different tranny, no transfer case, front diff, driveshaft axles etc

 

You're missing out on having half of a 4x4 instead of a 4x4.

 

I'll tell you what it DOESN'T include- A front axle

I can almost swear I've seen 4X4 with the Pre-runner Badging on them ??? His dont have the pre-runner Badging but definately 4X4 as you all have been mentioning.

If it was a Prerunner-4x4 conversion...i guess you could keep the Prerunner label and slap on a 4x4 label and it would be about the same...

 

Yea but that's just the badging
People get their tailgates stolen and buy it from another truck and it's a prerunner so just install it and forget to remove it
