AC not working? no fuse

Dame thing again today. Worked this morning just now at lunch doesn't work... Looks like ill be ordering some parts

 

The resistor controls the low settings, the relay works the high setting. If it wont work at any setting, it's probably the blower. Check for voltage at the blower connection before you start forking out money.

 

It is possible that his brushes are bad. New blower is 160.00

 

Just found this thread from donig a search for this very problem. Yesterday I took my pup to the dog park and was running the AC on the way there. When we went to leave the park I had bupkiss happening with the AC. No response whatsoever. I tried all settings, turned it on/off, shut off the truck then re-started, stuck my pointer finger in my left ear while adjusting the rearview and still nothing. Figured I'd take it to the stealership since we were on our way to town at the time anyway. About three miles down the road it started working again all on its own. I have an appointment to have them check it out on Monday so from this thread, it sounds like I should direct them toward the harness connector and/or resistor. Thanks for the info!

 

Yeup, blower regulator and harness at that connection.

 

Do we have a access to a wiring schematic to see if the relay controls high speed only? In my mind that doesn make sense.

 

Okay, cool. One thing I did have was that the lights in both the AC and recirc buttons were working while mine was crapped out. They weren't changing anything (no load on the motor when switching on/off) as far as I could tell, but they were lighting up.

 

I have the same problem as most of you have described. One thing I tried is when the blower does not come on I take screw driver and bump the bottom of the blower with the handle. It always comes on when I do this, just trying to get through the summer right now before I try fixing it.

 

those control your compressor and your flap for inside/outside air. Not the blower motor.

Sounds like the brushes in your motor are almost done. That's what I do with mine
