nothing wrong with a ridgeline if you never offroad. very comfy, bed is cool imho and for light duty sport/home truck use its fine.

P.S. Tacoma is very different, better and worse depending on the category. After a dozen or so family trips already in mine since feb I am DONE with just throwing our crap in the back. i need to build some drawers or slideouts because im tired of crawling in the back 10 times a day for something in a bag by the cab.

First one I came across Google is fun:D

Yes it looks like a couple of years off which would make the current model have terrible resale value. They never sold well anyway. Think of it... How many of them do you actually see on the road? Short of the original Chevy Avalanche and the Dodge Durango they are the ugliest trucks (I use that loosely) on the road.

lol @ this thread. I thought it was a troll myself...

OP obviously we can't make the decision for you, but for the love of God please not a Ridgeline. Do some more research first, maybe:

    2WD Tacoma

    2WD V6 Ram (great mileage)

    2WD V6 F150

You never even gave us a reason why you wanted to get a Ridgeline. They're not very useful as trucks. If it's the luxury you want, there are so many SUVs you could look at. Idk please I just ask you think a little more about it before making such a decision

I actually thought the exact same thing. In a way I still think it is.

Also, the 2006 Ridgeline has an interference engine, so if the timing belt breaks, major damage can occur to the engine. I don’t know about other years though. Every 105,000 miles you need to replace the timing belt (if you don't tow) costing anywhere from $800 to $1400.

How much to replace my flat rear leaf springs? Also my truck vibrates at all speeds, how much to fix that? Is it even fixable or do i just need to get used to it? My truck also leans to one side, how to fix? My 6 cylinder gets 14 MPG, is that normal? My 2013 doesn't start some times and just cranks, is that normal?

Funny how Tacoma is the ultimate truck.

How about keeping the oranges away from the apples.

The numbers aren't based on the problems you are having with your truck. Of course other variables will cause a larger investment, but not everyone has your situation.

Exactly, so just imagine the problems associated with any vehicle other than a Tacoma... The list would be 2 or 3 times as long.

Glad these are all I have to deal with

It isn't my situation. But what is the sense of comparing one group of problems to another and saying one sucks?

Not like a Tacoma is without problems. People have had those issues on brand new trucks but that is acceptable..?

You're pointing out a 800 dollar maintenance cost every 105k? Big deal..?

OP if you want a Honda you should look into a Pilot. They get decent mileage and they cost less than a Ridgeline, and they're not so damn ugly. Hell, I bet you could haul more in the back of a Pilot than a Ridgeline.

I wanted a Pilot. Didn't drive as well as I'd have liked but only ding I had with it. Mine felt kinda sluggish and slow to respond.

Good point. It's also worth noting that many Tacomas (including mine) have timing belts as well

Useful data finally, you chose a 2wd Tacoma, but the data is still good if selected 4wd.
I checked 2009 2010. the ridgeline shows good reliability, nothing against ridgeline, but I'm not seeing enough to sell for it.

Sorry to hear you're having problems Taildrag especially for a 2013!

My 2011 had 36,000 miles and have had no problems or issues. I don't beat it and don't offroad and I get decent mileage for a truck.

I was just pointing out that the Ridgeline will have added costs such as the timing belt and fuel will be more expensive base on average costs according to the chart. SOSHeloPilot never said he was having issues with his Tacoma, just that he was buying a Ridgeline.
