Im finally going to bit the bullet and get the DTLT headers tommorow. Talked to Gadget about them and since we both live in MD im going to pick them up from him. Right now i am running stock y pipe with a flowmaster 40 cat back. Not sure right now but i think im going to get the pipe bomb from URD, not 100% sure but i'll see further down the road. Ill try to post a sound clip of the before and after.

Nice! I have a flowmaster 50 series and a TRD CAI. I kind of thought about headers but was never really sure. Do you have to pull the engine up to get to it?

once the headers are on its going to sound bad with that flowmaster. its gonna be annoying loud and very raspy and have more of a tin can sound.

My headers will be here tomorrow as well. I have 50 series. Not on yet, but will be probably in the afternoon, right after I install the headers. Replacing y-pipe as well.

Hope it sounds good. I'll try a sound clip as well. :)

    Didn't mean to thread jack!

Not completley sure if you have to pull the engine to get the headers on, i would hope not. I dont think it will sound to bad with the flowmaster. I was watching a video on youtube of a 05+ taco with DTLT headers, stock y pipe, and a flowmaster 50 series cat back and it sound pretty good to me but diffrent strokes for diffrent folks. the link is below

Headers are a bolt on job. No engine pulling. You'll get some good mid and upper range pull.

Yup got them done friday, so far they sound great to me. Some might not like the sound but to each his own. I noticed alot more top end power and bottom end stayed the same. The sound is also alot more throaty and load. I have a video of my truck with just a volant intake and flowmaster 40, ill get one up soon with the DTLT's installed.

Cool man. I still have stock exhaust. It doesn't sound too great, but its not that bad. I'm hoping it does take a change for the better though tomorrow. I'm getting a new y pipe and 50 series dumped.

I recently got back home with my stuff all complete now. Got a custom 2 1/4 y pipe. Then it connects to a 2 1/2 then the 50 series dump.

It is a lot better than what it was this morning. Sounds great at high rpm. Low rpm is a really deep tone.

I'll try to get a video later. Its raining pretty good over here now.
