Usually at least once a week. But hasn't been in about 2 months. Can't do it without getting malaria round here

Is a towel or shammy dry better than letting it air dry? I can't remeber why I feel like I must dry it by hand after every wash, I think I read somewhere it could be bad for the paint job. Any one ever hear anything like that before?

To answer the question of this thread... I wash it at least weekly, sometimes twice. Mainly because of trails and dirt. I like a clean and orderly truck

I wish I could keep mine cleaner. Where I live I drive on dirt roads on a daily basis so it's pretty much pointless to wash it. On the bright side because of our proximity to Yellowstone they don't salt the roads because of the impact on the ecosystem so I don't have to deal with that shit, just grit and slippery ass roads

Every time it gets dirty. Doesn't matter if it is one day or 2 weeks. If it rains it gets washed. I'm getting ready to wash it right now in fact. OCD FTMFW

    Wow clean

I wash mine once a week without fail in the Summer. In the winter I wash it twice a week as I don't want salt sitting on the frame or body after a ski trip.

We need a picture of your front suspension.

Or I do.. do you clean the coils and strut body underneath them?

    Love it.

When I rotate the tires yes. I clean the entire suspension. Put the truck on 4 jack stands and get to work.

*EDIT*Speaking of... They are almost due. I'll take a picture then.

Yep.. I'm pretty meticulous. Since I'm a Captain I don't have to clean anymore but I still make sure it gets done.

My truck I just like clean and well maintained.

Yup. Now I just make sure that all of our equipment is in perfect working order. I'm not going to be that guy that shows up on scene and hasn't checked their equipment. Time is of the essence when we show up and you don't want to be the guy whose equipment doesn't start because you are too lazy to do your morning apparatus check. It would be hard to explain why your O2 bottle is empty or why there is no fuel or bar oil in your vent saw. Like every other job out there, there are those type of people in the fire service. But.. even as big as we are we know who to count on and who is just there for the free t-shirt and bi-weekly check deposit.
