Yeah I was debating stopping at a DIY car wash, but the heat full blast trick worked.

And yeah, it's sad coming home and not having it in the driveway, but at least it's sorta local so I can see it as it progresses! And he said I can take it for a spin when it's done

I would still take a hose to the fins and try to clean out as much as you can

John I hope your moms alright.

Replacing carrier bearing tomorrow. Noticed a nice vibe last night with no throttle then with gas it was gone. Knew what it was right off the bat. Glad I can diagnose my own shit.

John, I wish your mom the best and a pain free recovery.

Dave, I think Toyotas carrier bearings just suck. The play in them is way to much, even on new Tacoma's.

Picking up an OEM CB tomorrow that I found on CL local $25. Guy bought it never even opened it for his 2001 a few years back. Told him they're worth about $50 online. $207.xx SCORE.

That's impossible. 10-32 doesn't fit that bracket (unless they decided to change the threads overnight). No, I take that back, you can get it in a 1/4 turn and after that you have to reef on it. 10-24 was smooth. You also mentioned something about how the holes were machined, or play in them, whatever. That would be your experience using the wrong screws. Dude, I'm telling you, you used the wrong thread.

I wouldn't have bothered to mention it but you posted that shit for all to see in the CVRV thread, so when I went to get mine I went straight to the bolt bin. 10-32 was doo-doo.

I know! I'm probably wrong because I'm not a machinist.

Cam, that looks like it will be a blast. I wish I was going to be free next weekend so I could go out there and get a picture of my GTO with a B-25 Bomber. How cool would that be.
