    It's kind of weird to me you have to cut so much to fit 37s on a taco...I held my flare up to my dad's 39.5's and it almost fit lol. Seems like a 38 would work and yet they don't lol.

    I removed my flaps, cut down some of the front rear bumper, removed inner fenders, and some other light grinding..all for 35"'s.

    When I got 285's I had around 2" lift and had to trim a tiny bit of plastic. :cool:

    What was your setup? I heavily considered 285's, especially after talking with Phil, but I couldn't justify the loss of performance on road (99% of my mileage) for marginal gain off road.

    I too considered 33's but I'm glad I went 31's now for the same reasons you mentioned. Another nice bonus is that my speedometer is right on at 75mph thanks to the new tires.

    I'm confused because I have 285's and I didn't have to touch/cut anything lol. It just slightly rubs the frame at full lock. And everyone seems to think they're ginormous lol

    On my Tacoma I had 285/75/16 on a 3" lift. I removed flaps (u could just trim them too) and minor trimming.

    I do flex funky in the back occasionally and had my mudflap ripped off and the bolt head of the flare rubbed on lol. But that's fairly rare.
