NORCAL: Camping & Wheeling - Deer Valley - 8/23-8/25

i doubt it will be a problem, i was at blue lakes and surrounding area all last week, the weather was great, clear blue skies. fire was restricted to designated sites only, but i didn't see any signs if the fires, though it might be different at the south end.

 

damn, must have gotten bad since i left, we had to go to south lake to pick up a fan, that they didn't have, and the air was great, though i wasn't really paying attention to anything other then the road and my temp gauge

 

We were @ Slickrock yesterday and open campfires were still allowed (I was pretty surprised) so should be good to go.

 

If I do attend ill be sure to bring some firewood.

can anyone else bring firewood? pretty sure we'll go through a lot of it.

 

If anyone else wants food, or wants to be taken off the food list, let me know by WEDNESDAY MID-DAY so that Jerry has enough time to buy and prep the food.

 

I'm officially out on this one. I can't afford it right now and need to get some maintenance done anyways. Sucks but o well. I'll make the next trip for sure. Hope you guys have fun!

I could always do the Ol' pay for one bundle (my bundle is as much as I can carry in ONE trip...)

Or if we can collect dead wood I guess I can buy the axe I want now and cut up a little

 

Ive got a hell of a list to do on the truck this week and no time to do it i see late nights in the shop this week.

1.Pull the rear diff and fix the arb leak
2. Install my new rock lights
3. Clean up my winch wiring and mount the box
4. Install projectors and new nead lights housings
5. Install front bumper (powder coated today)
6. Trim rear fenders to clear the tires at full flex
7. Build spare links one lower one upper
8. Drain and fill Tcase and crawl box
9. Finish bed rack and mount the tent

 

I would offer to come and help a little but about the only thing I would feel comfortable doing would be the rock lights, wiring, and installing the headlights

 

bro shoot me a txt, im down to lend a hand.

 

Long list. I predict items 2, 6, and 9 get the short shrift.

2 is simple just cut and install the new lights they are already wired. Ive got to trim or i'll be ripping up tires. The bed rack as long as the tent is on it and my spare tire i'm fine with that

 

Haven't decided yet but whatever time the GPS predicts and add 45 minutes

I'll bring some too. Since I'm a prerunner I'll be camped out at the camp sites

 

I think mine might be sitting in the camp site with yours lol. I don't think I am going to wheel it this trip.

 

We will pitch in money for food. We will be leaving Friday morning from Sacramento if and one from the area wants to caravan.
