From what I understand the pop n lock installation requires the backup cam to be switched from the passenger side to the drivers side of the latch. I like to park into spots backwards using the lines on the rear view mirror. Does the relocation of the cam affect the way the display looks in the rear view mirror?

If you get the power pop lock you don't gotta worry about swapping nothing. It just taps into your door lock wiring and lock/unlock with your remote. Convenient product in my book. Less visual deterrence but very convenient. Not too hard an install either. Just my $.02

Are you saying the power pop n lock doesn't change the camera location?

Camera stays the same. No exterior modifications. There's a plate that has the actuator which mounts to the inside of the tailgate. Try look up the installation instructions. If I recall they're online cause they don't come in the packaging. No conspicuous silver lock on the tailgate though. A good and bad thing I guess

As far as I can tell, the relocation of the camera doesn't affect the display. My display looks the same as before I installed the pop n lock 5300, and I also use the guidelines to back into parking spaces.

Did mine the other day and found that it off centre now about 4-6" or the width that it moved. Everything still functions but is out a bit. Kind of annoys me actually.

My back up cam was already off centre. After installing the Pop N Lock it is still off centre, but now in the other direction. Not a big deal as it is only by 2-3 inches.

This is the picture of the pop lock that I got. I found that the angle of the camera is changed a little bit. I found that it's facing down a bit more. I can see my license plate lights more. Either way, it hasn't effected me seeing through the camera etc.
