So lately when I start my truck it has been taking forever to start. i have to crank it for around 10 seconds and it either will start or i have to repeat the 10 second crankings untill it does. once it starts it runs perfect though, im not sure whats going on. and it usually only does it after i have drove it for a while. if its cold it starts up everytime. if it doesn't start for me and i wait for it to cool down then it starts, but this is a real pain in the ass when im sitting at a gas station cranking my truck forever! so if anyone has some sugestions it would be awesome :D

    getting there....
maybe try cleaning the iac valve and see if that makes a difference. you will need to remove the tb to get to it, so you'll need a iac valve gasket and a tb gasket. other than that....have you had your battery or alternator checked?

sounds alot like a fuel pressure regulator.it's easy to check find you fpr remove vacum hose if there is fuel in it than it needs replaced or seals replaced.it will be located on your fuel rail somewhere.and this will need to be checked under conditions when you get your long crank.hope this helped good luck
