Power from the fuse for the dome light an ground connected to the door switch so when that door opens it lights up. It's bad ass trust me

Hey guys, I should have these in about 2 weeks. Took a little while longer than i had hoped, but looks like we are on track now.

I don't see a problem in selling singles.

    Thanks!

depending on how/where you mount them, it looks like you drill a hole, then there are 2 wires, one ground one hot. Hook the hot to a switch and to a power source and ground the other one. Or you could hook the hot to an existing circuit like the courtesy/dome light and it will come on whenever that circuit is live (like when you open the door).

i'll get some more pics up later

this is what I accomplished as far as this idea goes, thanks to caribe makaira for the advice.

Bought it on Ebay, just type in "laser puddle light" and chose your style.

So basically I removed the door panel and drill a hole with the provided drill bit.

Then I ran the wires from door to inside cabin through the gromet, I removed the speaker for access.

I spliced the negative wire of the added light to the negative wire of the dome light. I decided to splice it at the door switch. Then I spliced the positive wire to constant 12V (battery)

So when you open the door, the light will come on.

I don't want to go into detail of how/where to run wires since everybody has their own preference so this is just a quick write up. The one thing I recommend to do before installing is to somehow glue the projection glass inside the housing otherwise, it will twist and turn from vibration due to driving and sounds coming from speaker. The projection glass is just freely sitting inside the housing. You can open by unscrewing the end cap where the wire are coming out.

when you buy them, make sure it is the 4th generation (smallest to date) style.

Just did mine last night too. I decided to go a different direction than a Toyota logo, plus I still got the red to match the other red accents on my Toy.

    In complete darkness:

    With overhead light:

Can't see them at all during the daylight. Also need to change how I wired it so it comes on with the dome when the door is opened. I used a switch, and if I forget it, they are always on. Oops.
