Overhead console custom switch panel

How and/or where do you run the wires from this console down to the dash or engine compartment? I don't see how to get behind my headliner.

You can drop down the headliner by taking out the sun visor tab. Then remove your a pillar and run your wires behind the dash and threw the firewall. Its really easy!

I like it but I want to use the other kind of switchs.

 

So demanding. Lol. The other switches may not fit in there. Prob have to be too recessed back. Also those other switches look cool they should be on display.

 

But I want to have logos so I know what is what. Lockers and lights. And so on.

 

True. But if it was like that you could always put home made sticky labels on it. Since it is just u that can see it

I took a look at the coin tray and it looks like only one switch will fit in there.

You're not gonna fit OEM switches in there....easily. You have to grind some corners down just to fit Carlings in OEM switch bank spots so it would surely not work the other way. Besides, it's gonna look a little weird, and trying to fit some of those 4'' long plugs in your overhead console won't end well.

P.S. My Overhead console is coming along reaaaalll nicely. Got 5 new switches installed, pics coming later when I get my new rockers in the mail. Ya'll are gonna shit bricks

 

a lil tricky but that coin tray can be modified so it opens out like twice of what it does no, its jus lil tabs of molded plastic, cut em i think n extend where the door stop, jus an idea tho.......
(grabs dremel n some random switches......)

 

I would suggest some sort of ring clips/ C clips on the bottom to support the tray more. That plastic C channels won't hold up very well IMO

Took me forever but here's a pic of my current setup. I still have the 6 switch bank in the rear sunglass holder to fill. For now it holds walkie talkies. I had uploaded this to Instagram hope it comes out on here ok
