I would happily help a friend out if it was a genuine need. Getting a piece of ass is not a genuine need that should involve anything of mine. I probably thought differently as a teenager though. Moving furniture? Appliances? Drywall? Sure, and I'll probably help you load/lift anyway.

Life experience can teach you crappy things. One of the main lessons is money mixing with friends often leads to neither. A truck is money and lending it to friends for less than urgent need is only opening the door to bad things.

Funny though, none of my single friends would ever want to borrow a Tacoma for a date. Most of them have a single or multi-vehicle payments higher than my mortgage. One has an M5 that I doubt he would even be interested in fooling around in.

I agree with many in here. No way.

Your friend needs to invest in a more life compatible vehicle.

Quoting a great man named "Cooter" I worked with years ago: "I'll loan anything to a friend except two things. One is my truck and the other is my ole lady. It's too easy to throw a rod in either one".

I've had relatives, friends, and best friends that borrowed my stuff, and didn't take very good care of it.

    That said there's always exceptions.

I have seen enough Judge Judy to see what happens when you loan a friend a vehicle.

Hell no! I wouldn't loan him the truck, unless it involved some circumstance that was beyond his control and I really trusted him. Like if he owned a vehicle but recently had a tree fall on it, or an accident that damaged his own vehicle which wasn't his fault and totally beyond his control.

If he just chooses to own a motorcycle without owning another vehicle, then that would be the last person I would even think about loaning my truck to! And honestly the girls looks would have no influence over my decision.

I did once (with my '07) he had just gotten a '04 F350 CCLB w/ powerstroke and a 6spd. His GF that was coming home from school that night and it was the first time he'd seen her in a while so we were goin nuts on detailing it. Checked his phone and saw he missed a text from her sayin she got home early and was headed over. Meanwhile, 1/2 the truck still had wax on it, and he hadn't showered.

I let him take the truck for the night and finished his up, got my truck back in the morning vac'd w/ full tank of 93, he said "yeah i vacuumed it out, figured it was the least i could do" I never asked questions

I say no stictly for the liability. It won't be him named in the lawsuit should something bad happen. It's the OWNER of the vehical.

I offered my friend my last car for a date. He didn't want to take it.
