This photo of the "new" tacoma surfaced on the FJ forums a little while back. Seems a bit more realistic than the franken-child 4runner/Tundra version.

EDIT: I see the image no longer works, some photobucket BS. All pictures I've seen have been photochop monstrosities. I hope they don't ruin it like they did to the 4runner's front end.

Saw one of the gaudier FJ's I've ever seen tonight, smurf blue 6" Rough Country, chrome ass wheels, and those LED turn signals. Almost as bad as Taylor's mall crawler.

But seriously, I don't see the point of a 6" lift on an FJ, just doesn't seem right. On a taco, sure, the wheelbase is long enough and it's really a truck, but a drop bracket on what is a tribute to the original land cruiser just seems sinful. Oh well, their truck, their choice.

 

That reminds me of the Mitsubishi truck. So ugly

With the ome lift you don't need ucas but I would at least get LR ucas because you can benefit from the added caster they provide to get your alignment right. They are also stronger the stock, flex a lil more look better, and you will have a brand new component including bushings and ball joints. I'd say if its not in your immediate budget then don't worry about it. As soon as you get $400, go ahead and get them. Especially if you go with the full 3" in the front. U need that added caster to keep from maxing out your lca adjustments

Ditto, aftermarket UCA's make a world of difference with on-road handling, steering, and off-road articulation. I used to have a death grip on the steering wheel whenever I was on the highway when I was running the Rough Country 3" with a spacer up front, stock UCA's. Threw the Icons on with their tubular UCA's and it made a world of difference...granted I did upgrade the entire suspension at the same time, but the UCA's allow you to set the alignment within stock specs.

What's you'r alls opinion on this, would getting an alignment done at a dealership on a lifted truck be a good idea or no? I kinda jumped the gun on lift install and the closest place to do a legit one on a lifted truck is the 2nd week of September and I don't want to go that long without one.

 

I'm confused. Normally you walk into an alignment shop and they do your alignment. What kinda shops you been goin to

And if I'm not mistaken your alignment specs change when you lift (not what they were/should have been from the factory)

I think he buys all black cars/trucks because being from memfrica he wishes he was black, but since he is a white guy he has to get black cars/trucks to make him feel better.
