No, it's not that. It's that the facts aren't all out there from nj636.

His post above only validates our position

certainly not something I'd consider ban worthy... of all the shit that happens on here...

furthermore, calling it "slime ball tactics" is a bit misconstrued... Assuming he did make another username and going by the post you closed his thread with, he complimented another member on his product and asked a few questions about it. Can you please explain to me how this is inappropriate behavior?

I'm far from a computer geek, but an IP address is assigned to each individual computer, regardless of who is using it, correct?

So if my room mates or my girlfriend wanted to make a TW account, and even if they usually use their own computer but they used mine once, that would be a ban able offense?? How the hell does that make any sense? So Kevin's wife or a friend could've made the account and asked a few questions on his behalf, why is there a problem with that?

There are quite a few couples on here that both have TW usernames... I sure hope they dont ever have to share a computer...

Actually, unless you have multiple ISP accounts, you have one external IP address for your entire house. Anyone who comes over and hooks into your router or your wireless will appear to be coming from the same IP, regardless of the computer being used. (Routers assign individual internal IP addresses but those are only visible behind the router).

So, if you were to, say, come to my house and sign onto my wireless with your phone and access TW, you'd appear to be coming from my IP.

It gets slightly compounded with most home ISP accounts since the IP addresses are assigned dynamically from a pool. So when you turn on your router, it gets an IP address from the pool. Turn it off for 48-72 hours and then when you turn it on again you'll get a different IP from the pool and the old one will get assigned to someone else.

That happened to me once where I got a blacklisted IP that some spammer had used. When I tried to get Time Warner (this was in NY) to get the blacklisting removed, they just told me to cycle my IPs so that some other poor bastard who didn't understand it would get it.

    And the prosecution's arguments are...?
Must be nice to be able to play judge, jury, and executioner without any checks and balances.

    These are facts. ^

    Yep.
PITA. Stiff wire lead and a shit load of time. Fish lead through one end and attempt to get close... check other end... go back and fish wire some more... check... repeat until you can grab the wire.

Or, BFH method if your good with mud :p

Just lay out the wire on the ground so it will feed in smoothly.
