    Master install kit is basically all the bearings, washer, gaskets, and whatever else should be replace during the swap, not sure if its needed for such newer truck??

    After a hell of a raise, I didn't think I could be happier. I was wrong. You've just made my week.

    I swapped gears from 3.23's to 3.90's in my old Silverado within the first 20k miles of life and I used a master install kit. Better safe than sorry, and if I remember correctly some of the OEM gaskets didn't like being disturbed after original install.

    I was never really gone. Just lurking! BTW. You run a donut shop right. I'm thinking i need some, but don't know where you're located.

    I don't. But it seems like it is something you would see out of the Soviet eastern block.... Or Louisiana for that matter.

    When I was in the military and learning about throwing grenades and such, they warned about not letting them cook-off first. I guess these guys didn't get that memo!
