Cable ties won't work because I use the anchors and move them quite a bit. Will the foam tape hold up to moisture better? I don't have a tonneau cover.

Ive even thought about gorilla glue.

3m badge tape works wonders. Just clean the bed rails or whenever you are going to stick them to with rubbing alcohol first.

ive had luck with the 3m tape i used in OP... its stayed 'stuck' throughout this summer. i do have zip ties in the corners where the tape may see some stress, but the lights are hanging just as they should.

    @ Speaker
do not use Gorilla glue, very bad idea should the lights need to be replaced or serviced. you can use light duty zip ties and still use your anchors. another option is drilling small holes in the bottom of the rail to allow for the zip ties and wont interfere with the anchors. i use my anchors too, and the zip ties are a good backup to the tape.

Do these anchors or zip ties get in the way of the rail system? I have a sliding bed cargo-whatever-its-called that if anything gets in the way of the rail system it has a hard time moving.

As for gorllia glue I wouldn't use that either. You can get high temp hot glue and use that, then razor it off if you ever remove the LEDs.

Not to overwrite the OPs method as everyone has their favorite way to do this, but i wanted to share mine

I wired my lights right off my aux. fuse panel under the hood (constant power) and used a "magnet switch" that turns the lights on automatically when you drop the tailgate. I also put a toggle switch in so i can manually turn them off when i want to leave the gate down.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...d_t=201&pf_rd_p=1944687442&pf_rd_i=B0009SUF08

I love this method because then you literally have to do nothing to turn them on, isntead of when wired to the dome light you need to make sure your door is open or something like that. There are lots of times when i wouldnt go out of my way to turn the bed lights on, but im glad they are on. Plus you get compliments every time you drop your gate:D:D.

No wrong way to do this though.

Lastly, does anyone have a link to good quality corner connectors? the ones i got on ebay are crap, and if its REAL cold out one of my lights flicker. I fear that will get worse with time so if someone has some good quality connectors id love to see them.

I usually hate hot glue, but this might actually be a good application for it

I don't know how hot glue does well with the cold. I live in Az, lowest it gets is high 30's. But I do have high temp hot glue that doesn't melt in the sun here in Az. So I can vouch for it in high heat.
