Any ideas on how to change the color of the needles?

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
Very...carefully. There was a post (that I can't find right now) where a guy basically scraped the existing paint off his needles with an Xacto (or similar) and then used a marker to color them the new color. Looked great at the end, but the risk of breaking a needle is high.

Seriously. I opted to NOT do that when I had the cluster out and just replace the LEDs. Wasn't worth the risk and my frustration. Turned out ok for me though - Red LEDs and Orange needles are a good combo.

Ha! I was thinking this exact same thing when I do my dash in blue. I was going to use a q-tip to take the paint off without needing to remove the needles (and thus not needing to re-calibrate everything) and just leave them clear. I would want to paint them white but fuck it.

Just read your other thread about your '265 vs 285 dilemma' haha, what made you go with the 265s?

    Look at build!
Don't hesitate, just go with 285's.. I did the same thing with tires and got 265's only because I couldn't pass up brand new km2's for $400 & unless you get tires from treadwright which are sized a little large IMO

Damn that's one hell of a deal for KM2's! I woulda done the same thing.
I just really don't want to cut the body of my truck if I don't have to. I don't mind hammering at the pinch weld...

As for my usage I don't do a lot of wheeling, just hunting/old logging roads. The occasional rocky/really shitty unmaintained old logging road
