    12psi is the lowest I've gone. Enough for me haha

    No wonder you drag so much. Wouldn't 15 psi have been a better choice? The lower you go the less clearance you have.

    ive done 8 for snow. I used to do 15..then i went to 12..and now 10 haha i like the soft ride for mobbin over the lighter stuff.

    With the new MTRs im actually worried cause from pics iv seen the side wall doesn't flex much even at 8 psi..so might miss that.

    LT will solve that i guess..sorta.

    I've gone to 8 while doing some hard crawling, but realized that was stupid and rarely go below 20 psi anymore. When the snow hits again I may go back down to 12 or 15 if needed or if I get into some nasty mud, but in the rocks you only need to drop it enough to smooth out the ride some. After that you are just loosing valuable clearance.

    I didn't care this time. Have steel skids. Might as well use em. Sure they took a beating..but..so what :D haha

    before skids i always ran 15

    Your on skinnies too though.

    i run 32 just on the road..so 10psi wouldn't be that much.

    Since brent and i have 12.5s we hold more volume. So going to 15 for us is close to 20ish for you as we have discussed before. anything higher then 15 for us is still pretty rough IMO.

    Yeah, the skids are nice, but beating on them makes for a rougher ride...

    Yeah I remember the convo. haha. I run 50 psi on the street.

    Still, if you tire looks like it is damn near flat... It's probably too low. haha

    What kind of wheels do you have though? I know mine have a larger lip on them to run the lower pressure. Don't want to blow a bead.

    You guys need to get some 7" wide wheels, then you won't have to worry about throwing beads:p haha I'm running 10" wide tires on 8" wide wheels though. Amazing I haven't thrown a bead. haha

    The pic your referring to though is on a hill while flexing..so a ton of weight is back there. Lots of grip too :D

    And not really. I only really hit the skids if im going to fast off something and my shocks can't dampen fast enough.

    I KILLED my billies and eibachs this trip..and the rears where already dead. I think i lost an 1'' of lift this trip haha

    But every time i hit the diff..didn't hardly notice. mostly hear it and barely feel it. I even high center the axle on it once.

    Most the time the tires look just a bit pooched out on flattish ground.

    My second batch of photos is uploading but i have a good one that'll show what i mean.

    can't run a 12.5 on a 7..well..you can. But the hwy and road wear will be TERRIBLE. would have to be at like 20psi or less to get flat even wear.

    and your within 2''..should be fine. no different then a 10'' rim on a 12.5 tire really.

    They fixed it :woot: At least on the bench it is fixed.

    Turns out the root cause is a known issue. Each side has an internal thermal protection device that is supposed to reset. Mine both failed in the open position.

    The tech that fixed it blamed a supplier of a component but I suspect the failed component my have been underdesigned a bit. Mines unit is not in a particularly hot environment compared to some applications.

    We'll see how it does after I reinstall it and use it in the real world. They were really nice and easy to deal with. I'm sure if I have more issues they will take care of it.

    Sweet! Glad it was fixed. I bet if we had tore it down in Powell we could have fixed it. But least yours is still under warenty this way haha Now we know though and should be able to fix it on the trail in needed!

    Or ill just have my CO2 for you to borrow any time :D hahaha!

    but weird that its a known issue and we couldn't find anything online about it..and ya..wasn't that hot was it? i guess it was in the engine bay too..maybe you should relocate it?
