    could be the screen. But IMO i bet is more due to the jpeg. The RAW stuff is way better and takes edits better. Compared to what ive done in the past with jpegs they take the editing much better. Jpegs IMO overcook much easier..

    just my thought..i have no idea really. see what the old man says.

    Yea thats a good point. Joey's where much more saturated. I know Joey was shooting in Landscape mode a lot idk if that changes it of if he editied.

    But yes i can see yours aren't as saturated. Not really a bad thing for some photos..could help in some though definitely..

    My money is on the jpg setting in your camera as the difference between how yours look compared to Joeys.

    When you shoot in jpg, you are letting the camera process the sensor data. So essentially your camera is producing the final image. The jpg editors you are using on your computer are weak and can't really do much to improve the image out of the camera. Until you use adobe products, you've no idea how much you are missing.

    The monitor as the cause seems unlikely. Macs are usually pretty good for color management. Its typically Windows systems that require color calibration. Besides, to me Ben's pics are not that far off. If it was his monitor there would be color cast, magenta most likely.

    My money is on the camera settings being the difference. You can likely play around with the in-camera jpg setting IIRC. I never have on this camera because all I use the jpg file for is for pre-screening and culling. No one will ever see my 'scenic' jpgs.
