Co springs is flooding again. Waiting for Lauren to get more video. Was sitting at the sky sox drinking beer and boom here comes the rain.

 

I'm watching the news and I feel like it is pretty evident that the climate is shifting. Funny when you hear politicians and other skeptics denying it.

LOL you do know me! I didn't realize you posted that before I even posted I was watching haha.

I didn't get good video (ok...no video cause my finger and phone were too wet to click record apparently haha and I was struggling holding my phone and umbrella) plus the news was there to film it anyway. We got there before the wall reached it. Was a slow trickle and started to rise maybe about 6 inches over about 15 minutes and then it did about a 3 foot rise in about 30 seconds. Was pretty sweet.

But my GOD the rain was coming down like crazy! I had an umbrella but I am still soaked. We always make friends with the news people, we were hanging out with one guy chatting with him. They keep showing the spot where I was though on the news.

As a side note...
got home earlier in the dark and all the time we smell a skunk at night. Saw something scurry across the road so I rolled down the window to see it was a skunk! And it ran up the neighbors stairs. So I'm freaking out, it's dark and raining like crazy. Open the garage and make a mad dash towards the garage and fearing there's a skunk underneath the flatbad I have to run by. And what happens? A freaking CAT jumps out from the top of my tire in my fender right in front of us and I about died. x.x

 

Yeah Lauren it was bad last night. I can't believe how long it rained.

Although I have heard that some people come out of it singing 2 notes higher then when they went in.
