Linex fender flare quote

So just like everyone else my flares are oxidized and looking pretty out of place on my truck. I've been doing the back to place and eraser trick for awhile but, ready for a more permanent fix. I like the look of the linexd flares.

What do you of $200 bucks if I carry them in? Is this fair? Will it look much nicer than if I try to paint them on myself?

 

I honestly wouldn't pay 200 to have my fender flares painted seems like a huge waste of money. If you take your time and prep doing it yourself will look good.

 

A few months ago I was quoted 100$ per flare.

 

a whole bed is only $500. OP with proper prep work you can paint them black and itll last

 

Herculiner, Some places sell quarts

 

I ended up plastidipping mine. Turned out pretty good.

 

Really don't care too much for the look of the Herculiner compared to the linex. How long does the plastidip seem to last before touch ups? Can you do it without removing the flares?

 

I had my whole truck sprayed in Bullet Bedliner and it cost me right at $2000. If you do get them sprayed, make sure they completely encase them in the linex. They just sprayed mine on the truck and didn't encase them the first time and they peeled. I took it back and they made it right.

 

It's been on for probably 3 months now. I only put two real thin coats on since I didn't have much left from doing my bumpers. They are starting to flake off a little on the lower ends from where mud/stones hit it. Not sue if a heavier coat would help. You don't have to remove them. Just tape them off. You don't have to worry about the tape being perfect either. The excess will peel right off.

 

Not sure what line-xing would gain you over spraying them with 3M black automotive plastic spray paint? I did mine on my old Taco for about $13, and they looked like new for about 3 yrs.
