Yep, you don't want to start the week off with that crappy feeling of sore legs. haha

This guy was hogging up the leg press at the gym this morning, just sitting there chatting away. Just did weighted lunges with a 60 lb barbell. That's the highest it goes if you go to planet fitness.

I start school again on Wednesday, so I'm really looking forward to being able to use a real squat rack once again. But I've seriously been thinking of just buying either a new or used squat rack, some times even at school it's a hassle to get a rack. Even if they do have about 6 of thm.

Well, the only down side of it, for me at least is the no real squat rack part, other than that it's a good gym. :) It's only about 1.5 miles from where I live. I would go walking but there's a stretch of road about a mile long where traffic gets really crappy so I drive instead. Doesn't seem worth getting run over by some idiot texting away or some lady putting on make up while driving. They're also building a Gold's Gym about 6 miles away but that stretch of road has a ton of lights and traffic.

That's why I'm looking forward to school starting, access to a great gym with a ton of great equipment! Oh, and the learning part too.

I just hate how they hate on 'bodybuilders.' The "lunk alarm" and all that crap is retarded. They don't want meat heads in their gym b/c they're intimidating. I also heard they don't have a bench press or shoulder press and you get in trouble for dropping weights too loud lol. And they give away free pizza on Monday's. Seems more like a 'feel good' place than a gym...but, if that's your only current choice, I guess it's better than nothing.

I know what you mean on the "lunk alarm" it's pretty funny though, but yea, PF is not geared for real lifters. None the less, there are some very jacked guys that work out there. They're pretty massive. Everything you heard is pretty much spot on, and I saw the pizza sign a few months ago and I was a like "WTF?!?! This is a gym right?" haha

    and it's only $12 a month. :D

Nice man! Feels good eh? Just keep adding 5lbs every second bench day. I just hit 185 for 4 yesterday, feels good. Hoping to hit 205 really soon

    Why?

    Because Planet Fitness is retarded.

My ultimate bench goal is 315, which is a long way away, but I'm at 270 right now. I've been adding 5 lbs. a week and have been making pretty good progress. Some weeks I can't get it with the extra five on there, so I'll just do negatives with someone spotting me, and usually, within a week or 2, I can get it up (lol)

I don't get it, I used to look like this...

But my stomach has gotten soft. I also don't work out my mid section as much as I used to, oh wait, there's the problem  This picture was also taken in 2009... so not too long ago... :p

I really need to focus on my core more.

What do you all do for core, abs? No worries, I do back extensions to even things out. I used to use this ab machine where you would sit in it and just crunch away, also used to do pull ups with leg raises on the way up. Guess I should start getting into that habit again??? haha

I did a tough mudder a while back, didn't work out legs for about a week and a half afterwards. :anonymous:

I only do abs twice a week: 4 exercises, 1 set of 25 reps...so, 100 reps total. A lot of people overtrain abs, hoping they'll get a 6 pack, but abs are such a small muscle and won't get that big anyway. Abs show by having low body fat.

You need to submit that into Awkward Gym Moments lol
