yea thats the one i was referring too early.

 

Shutter speed prio is good for quick stuff and panning with movement, but most professionals I "hear" just shoot in AV and adjust iso for shutter. It's always a good idea to keep ISO as low as possible to keep grain down, even with good cameras (im sure you know this). But those guys/gals are shooting with 1Dx's and can shoot with 10k iso lol. At that point you sacrafice with grain for the moment given what you're going for. I'd turn your AutoFocus points all off except for the middle one to help you keep your focus identifiable cuz 9 focus points is wack unless your just going for a point and shoot style.

 

Oh yea i just had the center one selected. And yea the t4i i was looking at when decided does 12k iso..but really? why? haha idk that might be out of my league for all i know. mine goes to 6400 which is pretty darn hot enough if ya ask me. Boost it to 12400 if needed..

I alsmot went with a 6d..but..really wasn't worth the money for the features.

 

My last gig I had 6 songs, the first two sounded like shit because the fucking guy didn't notice I was plugged into input 5...he was adjusting the first one

Complained after the first song, he said it sounded fine from BEHIND the stage

Told him to GTFO after the second...all the fucking mids were turned all the way down...I play an ukulele

yea..sadly our generation is obessed with bass..everything else is an after thought..depressing really.

 

I've never had the need to shoot with an ISO that high. I have tried 1600 but I could see too much grain in post processing and there is nothing you can do about it.

IMO, if the light is so low you can't hand hold, i.e. 1/60 of a second or higher at ISO 800, then you need to be on a tripod. Then it all become irrelevant as long as you aren't photographing moving objects.
